Entrust-Moldova
Vision
We envision a Moldova in which Entrust training, provided by Moldovans through church based training systems, is accessible to all of Moldova’s evangelical churches, and is equipping servant-leaders who are reproducing themselves, even beyond the borders of Moldova.
Need
Most of the evangelical pastors in Moldova have little or no theological training. Only a small percentage of the women in the evangelical churches have been adequately taught and trained for a sound, effective spiritual ministry to women and children. Not surprisingly then, most of the evangelical congregations suffer under some degree of legalism and are not as fruitful in evangelism as they should be. So that the Body of Christ in Moldova might be healthy, joyful and effective in manifesting Christ to the unsaved, they need the kind of training that Entrust Moldova is currently providing in certain locations.
To be more specific, the critical need in Moldova is for spiritually mature servant-leaders in the local churches that are able to reproduce themselves. The Baptist have established a small Bible college, and the Pentecostals, the other major denominational group, have established a small seminary. However, these two institutions are not equipping nearly enough men to serve as pastors and church planters, and projections indicate that they are not on a track to do so. Furthermore, in both cases their history shows that generally they enroll young men shortly after they graduate from high school. So, the nationals are not providing training for the large number of untrained pastors, church planters, Sunday School teachers, etc., presently serving in churches in Moldova.
Therefore, the Church in Moldova needs training that both transforms the trainees spiritually and equips them for a ministry in God’s Word through which others may reach spiritual maturity. Specifically, this training must transform men and women into servant-leaders who are competent expositors of God’s Word, and who passionately and faithfully equip other servant-leaders to be faithful and fruitful in their God-given call.
Solution
In order to accomplish the mission of Entrust Moldova and see our vision realized, we will focus our efforts in three main areas:
- Training and mentoring: of servant-leaders and servant-leader prospects
- Development: of both the ministry and financial resources
- Distribution and publishing: of materials needed for the ministry
