Raising financial and prayer support to serve as a writer and possible course facilitator with Entrust

Entrust is the new name of BEE, the group I worked with in Europe in the 80s and 90s.

Entrust shares culturally-sensitive, biblical leadership training with emerging church leaders around the globe. Entrust facilitators come alongside emerging leaders in mentoring/discipleship relationships, providing theological education in small group, discussion-oriented settings.

Entrust is made up of educated, godly, humble, financially-responsible men and women, from many nations, who are passionate about our Lord Jesus and about equipping national leaders to lead well in local churches.

What I hope to do with Entrust

Write! Write web content, newsletter articles, video scripts, anything and everything that needs a wordsmith. Brainstorm! I look forward to dreaming up fresh ways to convey what God is doing through Entrust, with the amazingly gifted and creative communications team I’ll be joining.

Facilitate! I hope to gain more training and experience in facilitating Entrust’s Bible courses, in order to one day walk through those courses with women – here in the States and beyond.

How God has called me to this type of service with this organization

As He has done in the past in my life, God began to close doors in rapid succession. My radio announcing job came to a sad end in 2007. Since then I’ve prayed and cast about, seeking what to do with my life. A 10-month stint at an ad agency proved to not be a good fit. Many many applications and interviews have come and gone, with no long-term results.

All the while, and even before I left the radio station, there’s been a restlessness in my heart. I’ve not been able to forget that almost all my life, I’ve sensed that God wanted me to be a missionary. Dozens of times in my life, He has clearly re-affirmed that. This recent era of searching for His will has led to closed doors in all directions, except one: full-time service with a Christian, cross-cultural mission organization.

I know the people and the work of Entrust (formerly BEE) and am so impressed by their integrity, their skill, their humility, their wisdom, their godliness. It’s a group I want to identify with. It’s a work I believe in. And it’s a place that actually has loads and loads of work for a girl who loves to write!
