Encouraging, Equipping and Empowering Global Ministry Leaders

FacilityTraining is held at Mt. Lebanon Retreat & Conference Center, located in a restful, wooded hide-away, a convenient 20 minutes west of Dallas. The facility provides a relaxed environment with lodge-style meeting areas, comfy indoor and outdoor sitting areas, a common dining area where people can linger and talk after a meal and the grounds allow for walks for individual reflection time. The environment aims to provide an atmosphere that will foster conversations and the building of community with like-minded brothers and sisters. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, with the exception of the half-day off. In addition, each hotel-style room has its own mini-refrigerator and coffee maker.
This hub currently serves women from a number of ministries as well as U.S.-based ministry staff and lay leaders. We hold a 7-day intensive training, once per year, offering up to four training modules simultaneously. The first year, the hub was held at a site in Denton, Texas. This coming year, it will be held in Cedar Hill, Texas.
HistoryThe vision was initially cast by Mary Dean and Sheryl Graves in 2010. They had seen God work through Women-to-Women Ministry Training in Russia, Bulgaria and Macedonia with incredible results and longed for training and mobilizing of leaders within the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex, leaders who would in turn invest in intentional multiplication of ministry leaders. Mary and Sheryl created a team to pray and brainstorm. The Lord used those humble beginnings to bring about the launch of this hub in 2015.
“I hope to use the facilitation skills in my church's youth group as well as in one-on-one discipleship.”
"I'd like to incorporate a lot of principles and concepts from the training into my church's small group leaders' training classes. The timing is perfect as we are starting to design the courses for this fall. We'd also love to have potential partnership with Entrust for more training opportunities."
“I will deliberately and intentionally be using more OPEN questions in all my teaching--one on one, small group and preaching.”
"I know in whatever context of ministry in which I serve my confidence in leading small group has greatly increased. I feel equipped and trained and hopeful about future leading opportunities."
“Presently, I have been meeting with young adults and I think meeting with a group would have a greater impact than meeting just one-on-one.”
