Entrust launched ministry training here in the mid-80s, with staff traveling in and out of the country from nearby Austria to train small groups of church leaders. Early Entrust students – some seminary educated – appreciated the difference in Entrust’s training with its emphasis on practical application, personal spiritual growth, and a deliberate strategy designed to multiply Christian workers for the local church. We continue to encourage groups of local pastors and women’s groups. In the fall of 2017, a new Entrust staff family, Dustin and Miriam Combs and their son Theo, moved into the central Slovak city of Banska Bystrica. They began language study immediately. While Dustin continues to concentrate on language study, he has also become involved in the monthly training sessions with several Baptist pastor groups and mentors some local Slovak men. Miriam serves in the local church's weekday preschool program.
