Women-to-Women Ministry Training

Transformation leading to Multiplication

Encouraging, Equipping and Empowering Global Ministry Leaders

East Africa Hub

Hub coordinator
Ramonda Lunsford

Ramonda and her husband, Tom, and their three children served with SIM in Ethiopia for 17 years. In 2009, God used several factors, including Tom's leukemia, to redirect them back to the U.S. God healed Tom. Since that time, Tom and Ramonda have been based in the U.S., on staff with SIM, involved in discipleship ministry with national pastors in Africa. Entrust board member Gwynne Johnson introduced Ramonda to Entrust’s ministry training, something Ramonda says “completely changed my life personally as well as opened up doors of opportunity with other women that I would have never dreamed of.”

Entrust began offering trainings here in 2017. The first team to serve at this hub was mobilized by Tomball (Texas) Bible Church. The hub serves to equip full-time kingdom workers from TBC, national ministry workers and more broadly, leaders in East Africa longing for tools to help them train and equip others. The women's ministry at TBC has the vision to support, facilitate and encourage this hub as a ministry of the church.

Entrust East Africa Hub

The East Africa hub is held at a beautiful location less than an hour outside Nairobi called Brackenhurst Conference Center. This is an ideal location, accessible to women from across East Africa. The conference center is situated among neighboring tea farms with nice walking trails. Participants eat all three meals together in the dining room, and have the option of a room for two or a room for four. Entrust modules equip participants with ministry tools, in the context of a like-minded community of learners from varied backgrounds and nationalities. It’s a wonderful opportunity for women in ministry to grow in the midst of a rich learning environment.

Studying together"This training helps you evaluate your spiritual foundations and the thoughts/beliefs you have about situations in your life. I can use this to help other women evaluate situations in their lives based on Truth."

"This training gave me a new experience about how to look at myself and God so that God will deal with the whole of me. This was done in a conducive environment of love and support with people who are not like me and who have experienced God differently."

Hub participants"I have seen myself in many ways that have changed my spiritual beliefs. In every session I saw lies I was believing about myself and now I can replace them with the Truth of God's Word. I have seen how my emotions have affected many people in my home and family. I want to see God change me!"

Hub participants"I was able to assist in coming up with objectives for the study and reformulate the questions that had already been formulated. I was also able to lead one of the discipleship groups and I am happy to say that the discussion and interactions were much better than any other previous time I had led."
