Sample accountability questions to use in mentoring


QuestionsProverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron,
so one man sharpens another.”

Proverbs 18:1 “Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment.”

  • How adequate is the time you’ve spent in Bible study and prayer this week? What did you do?

  • What other personal spiritual discipline goals did you accomplish this week? What did you do?

  • Have any of your financial dealings lacked integrity? Tell me about it.

  • Have you entertained lustful thoughts about anyone this past week, including looking at pictures/images in an inappropriate way? Tell me about it.

  • How have you given priority time to your family? How were you involved in their lives? (If married) How have you listened to your spouse? How have you been praying together?

  • How effectively have you worked at the ministries God has called you to? What did you do?

  • How have you taken care of your body through proper physical exercise and proper eating/sleeping habits? What did you do?

  • Which temptation was the toughest for you to deal with this week?
