The Church Beyond Walls

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20

God is moving in waves around the world. People are finding hope and joy in Jesus Christ. However, more places are becoming limited or inaccessible to traditional missions.

The number of disciples is growing. For the majority world, this doesn’t always happen in a church with four walls, a roof, an elder board, and a pastoral team. It’s in homes and places of community. People are empowered to be disciples who go and make disciples who will do the same.

THIS IS THE CHURCH.

In partnership with the OC Global Alliance, primarily alongside a mobilization center in Southeast Asia, we celebrated over 1.5 million disciples in over 125 unreached people groups in disciple-making movements. Providing encouragement, training, and resources, OC continues to support these movements.

A defining component of the mission workers coming into OC from Entrust is equipping leaders who will, in turn, equip more leaders in their own communities, resulting in grassroots multiplication. Sound familiar?

The expression may be different, but the heart is the same. One example is Lili, a woman mentored by Sandy (who joins OC from Entrust). In Sandy’s home in Austria, Lili experienced shepherding and leader development. Now, God has placed Lili in a major city in the Middle East. She leads her church’s prayer ministry, where she is seeing people find freedom through His power.

God works in classrooms and coffee shops. In living rooms and church buildings. As we continue to come together and be aligned in the Spirit, OC is ready to be used for His glory.
